The committee regularly conducts global surveys of environmental regulations such as RoHS directive, WEEE directive and REACH. JEMIMA sends committee members to lobby European organizations and formulates guidelines on how best to respond based on the results of the lobbying activities. The committee also cooperates with related organizations both in and outside Japan to ensure that its member's opinions would be reflected in the regulations and standards of various countries. Furthermore, the committee holds seminars on environmental regulations toward member's companies and non-member companies.
